Review of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) by Brad W — 28 Jun 2012
Thought it could have been a lot better. The story was very flimsy and should have kept true to the "Action Movie Bible" (if you will) and had someone play the villan of the French and develop their story around Crowe and the Poms.
Some of the camerawork was exceptional (water and blood splatter) made you feel you were right there. People claiming sea sickness when watching this movie are retarded btw. Crowe did enough without having a standout role.
Could have been a masterpiece, but fell short.
