Master and Commander is one of those movies that you watch, realize its brilliance and ask yourself why you did did not watch it earlier, and then you watch it again just to make up for that shortsightedness.
Having been overshadowed by The Return of the King back in '03, it did not get the attention nor the appreciation it deserves, despite it being a far more mature and superior movie than a fantasy about dark rings and talking trees.
