Review of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) by Kimberley F — 16 Apr 2010
In some ways this was a brilliant film, the atmospheric qualities aboard the high seas, in storm and calm, the captivating characters, with especial nods towards Bettany adn Pirkis, but in other ways it wasn't so compelling.
There was nothing really to fault in direction, and the set and costume looked amazing, but something was a little boring, a little - not enough.
