Seeing a seemingly realistic but daring adventure in the eyes of an extraordinary man mainly shows what Master and Commander is all about. The story did not sail too far from the coast of what must have happened in reality.

It was not too grand to make it unbelievable, and not too plain to make it boring. It just shows that a story about warfare, duty, honor and country need not to be overdone just to make it epic. I must say that everybody did a pretty good job.

There is no doubt that such films are one of the hardest to make, but it just shows that all the hard work are worth it. Again, it is proven that the best way to motivate men to be the best they can ever be is to give them a leader, and that courage can make you conquer the invincible and bring you victory that would satisfy the deepest desires of the heart.

Truly, Capt. Jack is not called "Lucky Jack" for nothing.
