Review of Massacre at Central High (1976) by Kim D — 25 Jan 2008
Implausible revenge drama tries to make a social observation but is way too hectic for its own good. The bullies are overwrought and underwritten, one-dimensional to the point of being non-characters. The heroes are just slightly better - Andrew Stevens doesn't quite have the acting thing down yet, but at least he's hunky, while Kimberly Beck turns in a likable performance despite the wonky characterisation on the level of the script.
There is a sort of 70's charm to the whole thing, though, which probably accounts for its cult following.
