Review of Masked and Anonymous (2003) by Harry H — 27 May 2007
It's self-indulgent, pretentious, enigmatic and utterly intriguing. It's like being assaulted, blow by blow, with obscure philosophy. This movie is a surrealist painting not made to be understood but to be enjoyed.
That being said, many beckoning truths can be found amongst the mounds of quirky dialogue. It's shakespearean - say it's genius - don't study it - but love it for what it is. I did.
