Review of Mask (1985) by Kristen N — 22 May 2010
"...and the sun shining on my face." Rocky, an incredibly intelligent, nice guy, who happens to have a deformed face, lives life with the attitude that everything is relative. I think Cher, who plays his tough, biker Mom Rusty should have won an Oscar for her performance.
Sam Elliott is also great as Garr (Moustache rides!), Rusty's on-again off-again boyfriend. Eric Stoltz is also good as Rocky, though it's hard to connect him to other movies because he is completely unrecognizable under the make-up.
If the end doesn't make you cry, nothing will.
