Very amusing, occasionally laugh-out-loud comedy, which spawned the TV series.
Sutherland, Skerritt and Gould are hilarious as the surgeons in the Korean war, who care about their roles at the hospital, but care just as much in stirring up trouble, having a fumble with the nurses, and playing some golf.
Imaginatively written, and supremely played out, with some great ad-libs from the cast. Football match at the end went on too long, but still one of Altman's top films.
