I came into this movie expecting the same sort of goofy, lighthearted fare like the classic TV show was like. I was most pleasantly surprised by how much deeper the movie is. Approaching it from the TV angle, its very refreshing to understand the genesis of all the characters. The acting is top notch, the dialogue and plot are remarkable, and the satire is perfect... I always love Altman's trademark way of layering dialogue in a crowded ensemble scene. It makes it feel so much more believable to have all the chaos and side conversations going on...
Sutherland, Gould, Shuck, Skerrit... All of them are incredible...
