Review of M*A*S*H (1970) by Robert D — 13 Jun 2012
M*A*S*H, one of Robert Altman's most beloved films, follows a cut-up group of army surgeons during the Korean War. This film isn't really a cohesive story as much as it is a series of loosely interconnected vignettes.
Most of them follow gory surgery, martinis, and wiseass comments by Hawkeye Pierce (Donald Sutherland). The film is probably best known for inspiring the classic television show, but it's certainly worth checking out on its own merit.
