Review of Mascots (2016) by Dave R — 20 Oct 2016
A Mighty Wind, and Best in Show are two comedies from director Christopher Guest that I simply enjoy so much. The off the cuff lines and improv that is captured is just top notch. However, I can't say that for this latest straight to Netflix offering Mascots.
This is a poor man's, seemingly thrown together version of the other two movies. There are some funny elements, but nothing original at all. I mean it is the same cast for the most part, and many just continue to do the same things, just with a different subject matter.
I was looking forward to Guest finally coming back with something, but guess I will continue to wait.
