Review of Mascots (2016) by Dpaudiophile — 13 Oct 2016
Most of the dialogue and overall writing in Mascots feel forced and artificial, as opposed to other Chris Guest films like Waiting For Guffman, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, where those important parts of the film come off much more natural and genuine.
There are some funny moments scattered throughout Mascots, and some of the performances are pulled off nicely (Parker Posey), but overall this formulaic Chirs Guest mocumentary is mediocre at best.
