Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Carlos R — 22 Feb 2008
Stays true to the "tone" of the novel, the pale/low contrast colors really add the correct feel. A bit too long and hard to watch (though not because of horror or gore, just bad pacing).
It does feature one of the coolest (and weirdest) staircases in film history though. And that hanging scene near the end, that is just plain disturbing (and so is the incest).
