Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Sarah S — 16 Feb 2009
I watched the (now quite old I know) Ken Branagh Frankenstein the other day. Never had a great desire to see it but it was there so I borrowed it from the local dvd shop. HBC was perfectly cast =D Rob DeNiro did a very good job too but the one I was most impressed with was John Cleese, doing VERY well in an understated dramatic perfromance ! KB chewed the scenery as usual but thats to be expected in one of his own extravaganzas.
.. Aidan Quinn was wasted a bit as the captain of the ship in the arctic. I think this was when KB broke up with ET for HBC... he certainly looked the most 'cut' I've ever seen him. Reasonably close to the book with a few liberties.
