Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Michael T — 28 Feb 2009
The film was generally panned by the critics but I enjoyed it. Branagh plays Frankenstein as a Byronesque figure but also a man of the Enlightenment (discredited by Romantics following the French Revolution).
De Niro isn't bad as the monster, thogh he does engage in some scenary-chewing.
