This film is said to be the Frankenstein adaptation that adheres the closest to the book. Be that as it may, however, it's fairly short running time (compared to the lengthy and complex plot of the book) forces the script to either rush certain scenes, or excise them entirely.

This gives the movie a rather choppy feel. On a more positive note, the acting's great.
