Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Ian L — 09 Dec 2009
The best of the serious Frankenstein adaptations, (see Young Frankentein if you want a laugh). Atmospheric and menacing, with just the right gothic treatment, Helena Bonham-Carter's performance, and especially her last twol scenes, are both superb.
Robert de Niro makes a classy monster.
