Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Luc L — 12 Oct 2010
The second and third act almost make up for the lacking, clunky editing and pace of the first, but the opening greatly wounds this greek tragedy adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic. One of the more faithful adaptations, it shines towards the middle of act two and throughout act three, with De Niro giving a truly gripping and tragic performance.
If only the film's first act had been paced and edited better. :(.
