Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Juanpablo M — 03 Aug 2012
Does a faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein need to be so loud ? Over the top performances set to a non-stop, blaring score by Patrick Doyle, which is there to hide the fact that this is actually a pretty aloof and shallow interpretation of the story.
A letdown, specially as it is meant to be a companion piece to the much superior (in every way) adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Stick to the Universal classics.
