Great movie! I love the return of musicals to the big screen. If you aren't a musical movie fan then you probably don't like the genre and won't like this movie, but for everyone else it was great entertainment.
I think over time, its' popularity will show the long lasting interest in this film and PL Traveler's story. Like his book Mary Poppins Comes Back, the movie Mary Poppins Returns is great! It has a lot of elements from the book per the good read review, "Pulled down from the clouds at the end of a kite string, Mary Poppins is back.
In Maryï¿ 1/2(TM)s care, the Banks children meet the King of the Castle and the Dirty Rascal, visit the upside-down world of Mr. Turvy and his bride, Miss Topsy, and spend a breathless afternoon above the park, dangling from a clutch of balloons.
" So the ideas for the movie really are inspired from the book and not a rehash of the 1964 movie.
