One of my favorite movies growing up was Mary Poppins. My sister and I would always listen to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious on our long car rides. When we went to Disney World it was necessary that we saw Mary Poppins.
So when the new movie was announced, I was a little nervous about how it would be. But it was very cute and very well done! It kept the feel of the first movie without seeming like a remake of the original.
The songs were great and the storyline was good as well. The movie did a good job of following both the Banks children and the adults. My personal favorite scene was when they were all singing Trip a Little Light Fantastic and dancing in the park.
It reminded me of the Chim Chimney scene from the original movie, which is still one of my favorite Disney movie scenes. Overall, it was a cute and fun movie to see with your family.
