PRETTY DECENT FOR WHAT IT WAS. bLUNT FEELS LIKE A MISCASTING TO ME, AND HER DECISION TO PLAY THE CHARACTER CLOSER TO THE BOOK VERSION IS A TANGIBLE BREAK FROM THE CONTINUITY OF THE FIRST FILM. lIN mANUEL mIRANDA (dICK vAN lYTE) WAS VERY ANNOYING AND UNNECESSARY, AND THE FILM'S RUNTIME WOULD HAVE BEEN BEST SERVED BY LEAVING HIS ROLE ON THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR.
Ben Wishaw was the clear standout, here, bringing an emotional weight to this film that catapults the movie out of mediocrity.
