Great movie - in fact the best one I've seen in a long time. Uplifting, fun, and an incredible production with great performances all the way around - from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer and Julie Walters with Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.
The music is also quite good and it's unfair to try to compare it to perfect classic "Mary Poppins" released in 1964. Those songs have had more than a half a century to seer themselves into our memories.
I am finding myself humming the new tunes in my head, and some of the lyrics are very touching and wistfully optimistic.
