Mary Poppins Returns is a great example of a modern retelling. While it may seem to follow to closely to the original, closer inspection reveals fresh modifications that make this a great film in its own right.
The quality acting, singing, and dancing compliment a conventional yet very heartwarming plot. If you have an inner child, you will find a lot to love about this one.
