A gourgous looking film with a great musical score. I also liked Emily Blunt, but have to say I enjoyed the decision to have most of the characters have their moment to be the lead in one moment to another.
The surprise appearance of an original Mary Poppins veteran was the cherry on top for the whole thing. Unabashedly old fashioned in many of it's elements, and for that I applaud it. There are a couple of sequences that drag, but the colorful optimism of the rest of the film makes up for it.
