I was honestly surprised! It has all the charm of the original and even some of the themes of childhood and becoming an adult where magic has disappeared. The acting was very good with the surprise nod to Lin-Manuel Miranda for learning a cockney accent.
The only disappointment were the musical tunes which were not as memorable as the original - but that's a tall order. On the whole very enjoyable and a great family movie for the holiday!
