The story was fine, I actually liked seeing how Jane and Michael were doing. I felt terrible for Michael and his children were so mature, and all very fitting. Sadly, Mary comes off as snarky and almost too calculating, and the music just didn't live up to the original.
It felt like they were trying to hard to hit the original beats instead of making it their own and giving us memorable songs. Decent one time watcher and that was it.
