A delightfully earnest movie with excellent performances from Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The structure is a bit too firmly anchored to the original -- and the songs just a notch shy of being catchy enough -- for this to be a true masterpiece on par with its predecessor.
But it's a completely worthwhile moviegoing experience.
