NY Times and Post gave terribly biased reviews. This is OUTSTANDING! They have done what no one has ever achieved: to make a follow up of an all time classic that is excellent in its own right! Of course there are parallels to MP 1964, but there are are parallels in the books on which these movies are based.
Reviewers who hate musicals should just not review musicals. This has great cast, great direction, great choreography, wonderful new score. Making decent movie musicals is the hardest genre of all. This is a beautifully made musical in the tradition of the 1960's great movie musicals.
