The film's tension was way too serious with the depressive father and his motherless children facing homelessness. I want to say too much dialogue not enough music. Except the music that was there was not good and seemed to go on way too long.
The Dick Van Dyke cameo and final song with the balloons were the only saving grace of the movie.
