This fresh take on Mary Poppins transported me back. For me, it captured the magic of the original with a fresh take on the music, effects and costumes. We saw it yesterday and the songs have continued to grow on us.
Loved the casting. Emily Blunt is a great actress, and although her voice might not be up to Julie Andrewsâ(TM), her acting is superb. Lin-Manuel Miranda is fantastic. I came to appreciate his talents much more after seeing this movie.
And then there are Maryâ(TM)s costumes...dreamy! Just lose yourself in the spectacle and you wonâ(TM)t be disappointed!
