Mary poppins looks to capture the magic of her past, in which most parts she does. While Emily Blunt, is not Julie Andrews she still did a fantastic job at portraying Mary Poppins. However, at times this Mary is a little more showy then she was years ago.
The rest of cast fulfilled their roles beautifully. However, at times this Mary is a little more showy then she was years ago. The scores were good but not great and the choreography came short of expectations.
The scenes had very little set up for characters and rather focused on animations to display the songs. This took away from the human part of the experience. Overall, Mary Poppins is good but does not fully capture the magic from before.
