Mary Poppins Returns is amazing! Amazing in how disappointing it is. I wanted to love this movie, I would have settled for even liking it. Mary Poppins Returns made it hard to impossible to reach those goals.
First off, it is boring. It takes over two hours to get through and you feel every second of that two hours. Emily Blunt was actually very good in the role of Mary, but the supporting characters as well as the uninspired music made it impossible to save this movie.
It was almost as if they said, letï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s take all of the good things about Mary Poppins and then do the opposite. If you are a fan of good things, this is not the movie for you. Pull out the classic Mary Poppins or any number of other Disney films.
