Review of Mary and Max (2009) by Ryan G — 30 Aug 2011
A really refreshing to indie film. This was made in some sort of animation alternative universe (aka Australia) where characters can be icky, depressed, isolated and - sometimes quite gross. A bit heavy on the narration but nevertheless funny, bold and worthy of many chocolate hotdogs.
If you watch this on DVD be sure to watch the bizarre "making-of" featurettes.
