Review of Mary and Max (2009) by Edmund P — 20 Nov 2014
The color scheme switch/musical change is such a great addition. The fact that the movie goes all the way in its dark nature without doing it as a gimmick is also appreciated. The animation is simple, but very effective. Great voice acting performances all around.
Loved the way the plot moved and how interconnected and personal these character were even though they lived on opposite ends of the earth.
This is kind of like the anti-Disney animation. Dark, depressing, but most of all, realistic.
