Review of Marvin's Room (1996) by Adesh P — 28 Jun 2009
For me this is one of those films where performances are so lifelike and characters so well defined that it takes you a while to realize that it also happens to be a star studded affair. It is extraordinarily filled with compassion and love, the two themes I have rarely seen being dealt with so well.
And I guess it'll take me a while to forget Meryl Streep's face studded with the reflection of mirrors in the climax. That one smile sums it all up so well- being lucky enough for having loved someone so much all your life.
Truly, a must watch!
