It's so brutal, disturbing, horrible, and depraved that many will miss the important philosophical, psychological and spiritual truths hidden between the pages. With a nihilistic ending which will ruin anyone's day, many will dismiss this film as a depressing horror film.
Those will miss the greater meaning of such a powerful, and important movie. If you haven't seen it, this is a requirement for anyone who enjoys film. One warning, avoid the R rated cut like the plague, only go for the unrated.
