Few things I've learned in horror: Asian horror is great for supernatural ghost type, Hollywood knows how to copy and make bad remakes with the occasional hit here and ther and the French are just sick.

I think all the horror from frnech have been intense or demented but in a good way. They don't hold back when it comes to making an audience squirm or scare. Martyrs is one of those horrifyingly good horror movies that not everyone will be able to sit through.

the acting is good and the effects are better but the second half is where the difficult times takes place and pretty much leaves you speechless. if you're into horror and foreign movies definetly worth a check out.

for the weak stomached, I would avoid.
