Unspeakable. To try to review this would be to cheapen its brilliance. I bow down before this film. I am constantly searching for the most extreme horror film possible; the most disturbing, the most traumatizing, the most fucked-up thing ever.
Now that I've seen Martyrs, I feel both joyous and a little sad that I can finally stop searching. Martyrs is the only horror film during which I have ever cried. It is the only film that has ever made me lose sleep.
