I love John, he's the same age as I am, and he's always picked interesting films. This one was so sweet and real. I just need to point out the romantic relationship with the friend is really secondary to the man and the boy's relationship.
The message is we all spend time feeling "different", and there are no "perfect" parents. We're just all human..... or Martian.
