It's a nice, feel-good movie. I like movies with John Cusack in it so I'm a little biast, even though the script for this movie didn't bring anything new to the table.
It's your classic "love the odd character" kind of movie. Angelica Houston was a pleasant surprise to see in this movie, even if it was for a short period of time.
