Review of Martian Child (2007) by Harjono H — 07 Jul 2009
I have watched this movie 2 times and it's still can touch my heart. Martian Child is a "rare gem" of a movie that not everyone can make and can be out of stereotypical type.
The casts is actually very great, even though just John Cusack and Bobby Coleman (the martian child) who play major, but the rest of it makes a real situation of family and parenthood problems. And one thing for sure, the whole movie are natural, at least that's what I feel. It's just like watching ourselves in the movie, not any other type of character that we can't be.
Sure, there have been already so much movies about family comedy, oddball child, father-son relationship or mother-daughter relationship, or realistic drama, but "Martian Child" is one motion picture that keep sticked in our heart and hard to removed.
It's just my thought.
