100% - A true masterpiece. Ridley Scott's "The Martian" presents itself as one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. It is thought-provoking, emotionally powerful and very well scripted. The Martian sets a great example for the survival genre which shows that a movie can be spectacular and can stand on its own legs without necessarily a central performance that the main character carries out.
Seriously, this film is still a masterpiece without the presence of Matt Damon although he is a bonus which made this motion picture better than ever.
