There seems to be a difference between countryside films from the North i.e., this film and films that were made from the South, e.g., SlingBlade, despite the laid back effect that it conveys in general, it seems that films from the South has always been very provincial and dragging as in contrast with its Northern counterpart that has simultaneous substance.
