Beautifully disturbing. I am one to go for movies that are realistically scary, moreso than the average horror, because they could really happen (and indeed, as the IMDB trivia points out, much of the plot is similar to the experience of those who lived with Charles Manson).
The acting is really effective, and the method of storytelling makes the story more fascinating.
