Haunting, disturbing and in general, from the get go, made me uneasy. The story is told in an untraditional way, with the constant flashback style. Elizabeth Olsen is very good at playing the traumatised Martha, Marcy May.
watching this film will leave you with nothing but a sour taste in your mind. The dysfunctional relationship with her sister only makes the transition back into society, that bit more impossible; her disconnect is frustrating, as the movie goes on and annoyingly slow pace makes it hard to watch, the ending offering absolutely nothing but complete dissatisfaction.
.. no revenge, no retribution, no epiphany... no positives for this movie... very disappointing and just disturbing.
