FINALLY an Olsen can act! I was really impressed by the unexpected performance from Elizabeth Olsen. With this being her first major film she really made her mark. There was a realism to her approach that complimented that quietness of the film.
I really enjoyed the flashback style because you're engaged by the curiosity to know why she is so detached and the flashback give you answers. Honestly this film would have deserved 5 stars if it wasn't for the ending though.
It just felt so unresolved. You're left questioning "what happens next?".
