Review of Marshall (2017) by Pat L — 02 Nov 2017
Low-key, tightly constructed film about a piece of Americana too easily forgotten. Dialog moves the story, characters slip easily into the shoes of their counterparts, and both humor and horror is delivered without fanfare.
All the main players do a good job, but Sterling K. Brown's appearance on the stand is unforgettable. Thurgood Marshall did indeed change the world and he deserves a fitting documentary which this is not, but it is a good movie and a pleasure to watch.
