Cute. Not sure the message is one that we want to send to kids, but that's why it has a "PG" rating and not G. Parents can choose to explain or not to their kids that not all men are irresponsible slobs and moms are not all heroic either.
As far as the parents complaining about scenes being traumatic for their toddlers, don't choose PG movies. they are normally for kindergarteners and above. Choose G rated.
