An all star cast is what saves this movie, as it was very slow for the first half of the film and picks up near the end. However, the funny parts are few and far between, and the special effects were alright, except for the skeletons of humans that were vaporized by alien weaponry which was cool.
The cast includes Nicholson, Fox, Short, Close, Jack Black,Brosnan and an assortment of other well known Hollywood talent. It was nice to reminisce and watch the film again, but I did not like it nearly as much as I did when I was younger.
